Saturday 28th November

First run of a Saturday morning running group I set up through my club, Up and Runners NI. We did a nice 8.4 mile steady paced run. Legs felt strong and good.

Friday 28th November

Did a 1600m freestyle swim. Need to really build up my endurance.

Thursday 27th November

Half hour early morning turbo session. Will have to develop a better programme for the turbo.

One hour evening run of 6.6 miles.

Monday 24th November

45 minute turbo session - new block for front wheel makes it all much more stable. Need to get some more running done this week. Hard to get the training balanced.

Sunday 23rd November

Did a 50 minute endurance spin class and then 800m swim in the pool. No fatigue in legs after race yesterday.

Saturday 22nd November

Decided to run the NIVAA 5 mile race after all. PB because this is my first 5 mile race! Ran it in 40.34 - reasonably pleased with time since I haven't done much speedwork. Breaking 40mins will be a goal for next year.

Friday 21 November 2008

Friday 21st November

45 minute fairly brutal spin class. Tried to save my legs a little just in case I decide to run the NIVAA 5 mile race tomorrow.

Thursday 20 November 2008

Thursday 20th November

Half an hour early morning turbo bike session. Have to get the settings adjusted - wheel not running as smoothly as it should. Good though.

Wednesday 19 November 2008

Wednesday 19th November

1000m freestyle early morning swim. 1st swim in a couple of weeks. Need to keep the distance going.

6.5 mile run on embankment in 57 minutes

Sunday 16th November

Well, training started today for blog logging - did 30min spin class (short due to lack of participants) and then 5k run in 26 mins on the treadmill. Came home with an awful tummy bug - least said...

Just new to blogging

Hi - this is my first bloggy post. Hopefully you will enjoy following my progess into the world of half and full Ironmans. Winter training starting in earnest on Monday. I ran Berlin Marathon at the end of September 2008 in 4.10 with a 25 mins pb. Aiming next year for a 4 or sub-4 hour.
