I am a triathlete aiming to complete another 70.3 in 2010 and a full Ironman in 2011. I used to swim competetively, have run 3 marathons and love cycling. Hopefully in 2010 I will come back from injury to complete my goals.

How do you do your high resistance training on the turbo? Just set it to 10 in a high gear and grind it out?
Hi Austin
I set the resistance to about 5 and work up through the gears in the big ring. It probably depends on your turbo - any higher than 5 or 6 on mine and I can't turn the wheels!
Do you try to keep the cadence above 60?
Im using a TACX sirius trainer, Resistance goes up to 10 but I only get that high on long hill climbs and only keep it there for a few minutes.
I haven't got a cadence counter on my bike. My trainer is a sirius one too but I think the resistence adjuster thing isn't working quite right. With my back injury at the moment I am keeping the resistence a bit lower ie around 5 or 6 at present but trying to maintain the cadence for an hour or more on my longer turbo sessions
WOW. thats impressive. For long sessions Im setting my resistance to 2 :D
